The 5 Bathroom Trends to Try in 2020

The last article on this blog talked about the latest kitchen trends to watch out for this year. That got us to thinking about the upcoming trends in bathrooms, for 2020. And while the entire country has a lot on its mind at the moment, we do hope that reading this article will not only give you new design ideas but will also take your mind away from the silent war raging outside. As always, we hope you and your family are staying safe! And now without further ado, let’s take a look at these trends that all the major magazines have been raving about…

Drama in the Bathroom

We don’t mean the “woke up late this morning” drama. We mean adding some drama and zing to your bathroom, through a statement tiled backsplash or maybe some really interesting wallpaper that will stun you into silence with its beauty.

While marble is as huge a trend for bathrooms as it is for kitchens, we get that it can quickly become an expensive option. A simpler trick is to use marbleized wallpaper instead. Go to your local wallpaper store or go online to scout for options like this one here.

Remember how we talked about using tiles for that pop? Look at this post by Elle Décor and take inspiration for your bathroom remodeling in Los Angeles!

Fittings

Get rid of that leaking tap and while you’re at it, give us a call at (626) 744-0402 and we’ll give you a competitive quote to help you get rid of all the outdated fittings in your bathroom. Go online to look for steal deals and incorporate some old school glamour in your bathroom with some brass or gold finished faucets or shower heads.

Interesting Mirror Frames

A small and simple way to jazz up the old and boring bathroom is to get your mirror an interesting frame. Try a driftwood frame from Etsy to add a rustic farmhouse look or a metallic gold frame like this one here for some serious old school Hollywood glam!

However, if you do use wooden frames, remember to look out for problems of moisture and mold. A protective coat of clear paint may help alleviate some of these issues.

Deep Bathtubs in Dark Colors

If there’s one luxury that you should definitely go all out and splurge on, it’s a great bathtub. While you may not run yourself a bubble bath every day, it is one of the biggest features that will make your bathroom pop and give it a whole new makeover. That is, of course, if it is done right!

A trend that has come back in a big way is the deep, freestanding bathtub in a color like black or the color of the year, Pantone. Combine that with metallic plumbing and you have a winner. This list by Trendir is a great starting point to get some ideas. Of course, you might need some help with installing a bathtub and we’d be happy to help. Give us a call at (626) 744-0402 and we’ll get one of our experienced handymen to make this a walk in the park for you.

Integrated Lighting

If you don’t want to get a framed mirror, lighted mirrors are a big trend that show no signs of going away. They are an easy way to make a statement without necessarily paying huge amounts of money for a complete bathroom remodel. There are numerous options available on Amazon that are quite reasonably priced.

Handyman Connection of Los Angeles in Pasadena has an experienced team that will be able to assist you with any of your bathroom remodeling ideas. Whether it is only one element that you want to upgrade or a complete bathroom makeover, we’re here to make it happen for you. Give us a call at (626) 744-0402 to discuss how we can help today!
